NOMINATION PROCESS AND ASSESSMENT

The Organisers will compile all the submitted entries and the research teams will extensively review each submission to ensure the criteria are met in order to advance to the jury members for deliberation. We stress that this process is fair, impartial and not subject to external influences.
Once the shortlist of candidates is announced, an independent judging panel will review and select their top choices for the categories they are assigned. The scores for each category will be tabulated, and the individual/firm/GC/In-House Counsel/Managing Partner/Law School with the highest score will be announced in the Forbes list.
Any law firms, in-house counsels or individuals may take part in multiple categories if appropriate.  Further, there are 28 practice areas in the categories of Top 50 Law Firms and Top 100 Lawyers. The categories are subject to change at the discretion of Organisers. The organisers reserve the right to move entries from one category to another if they feel it appropriate. The organisers’ decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Any law firm, in-house counsel or individual may select ‘below 10 years’ or ‘above 10 years’ of practice/incorporation. The yardstick to judge those in the ‘below 10 years’ criterion will be different than that of ‘above 10 years’ experience/incorporation of firm.
Yes, but if you are the Legal Head of the company without the Designation name of General Counsel, you would be eligible to apply in this category. We would need evidence in the application that in your organisation this is the top position in the Legal department.
There will be an independent judging panel/jury of seniors and expert legal industry leaders to review the submission materials. The judging panel/jury members will be selected on the basis of their expertise and knowledge, and will be from various sectors to correspond to the diverse list of categories.
